# Multisite Network Dashboard

The Multisite Network Dashboard provides a centralized overview of all sites in your WordPress Multisite network from a single screen. Monitor version consistency across your entire network without visiting each sub-site individually.

### What It Displays

The Network Dashboard shows a table with the following columns for each site:

| Column | Description |
| --- | --- |
| Site Name | The name of the sub-site |
| URL | The full URL of the sub-site |
| WP Version | The WordPress version running on that site |
| PHP Version | The PHP version for that site's environment |
| MySQL Version | The MySQL/MariaDB version |
| DB Size | The database size for that sub-site's tables |

### Accessing the Network Dashboard

The Network Dashboard is available in the **Network Admin** area:

1. Navigate to **Network Admin > Settings > Version Info**.
2. The dashboard displays automatically with data for all sites in the network.

The Network Dashboard is only available to **Super Admins** with the `manage_network_options` capability. It does not appear for regular site administrators.

### Performance Considerations

To ensure the Network Dashboard performs well even on large networks:

* **Site cap**: Data is displayed for up to **100 sites**. Networks with more than 100 sites will show the first 100.
* **Caching**: Network overview data is cached using a site transient (`vi_network_overview`) to avoid recalculating on every page load.
* **Lazy loading**: Database size data leverages existing per-site caching from the Database Size Tracking feature.

On very large Multisite networks (100+ sites), the initial load of the Network Dashboard may take a few seconds as data is collected for the first time. Subsequent loads will use cached data.

### Use Cases

* **Agency management**: Monitor all client sub-sites from a single screen. Quickly identify sites running outdated WordPress versions.
* **University or enterprise networks**: Ensure all departments are running consistent, secure software versions.
* **Managed hosting**: Provide clients with a professional overview of their network's technical health.

### Multisite Compatibility

| Feature | Free Version | Agency Version |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Per-site activation | Yes | Yes |
| Network-wide activation | No | Yes |
| Network Dashboard | Not available | Full network overview |
